This group of objects from the former Berlin collection includes the pieces by outstanding Italian sculptors, along with the works of lesser significance and a number of later imitations. The very technology of manufacturing of these sculptures made of baked clay, has given them an advantage of some possibility of surviving a strong fire, so we can be quite optimistic about conserving many of them. In a number of cases, it is more complex, considering the absence of many fragments.
