Exhibition "Art conservator/artist, conservator"

The exhibition “Art conservator / Artist, conservator” opened on November 6, at the Museum Center of the Russian State University for the Humanities.

The exhibition presents the creative work of art conservators of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts: landscapes, portraits, city sketches. For art conservators who work with works of art of the highest value, this is an opportunity to demonstrate the fruits of their own artistic expression. Continuing the traditions of several generations of conservators - Vasiliy Yakovlev, Pavel Korin, Stepan Churakov and others, the current employees of the department of conservation not only preserve pieces by the great masters of the past but also create their own.

The exhibition “Art conservator / Artist, conservator” is a joint project of the Pushkin State Museum's department of conservation and the Museum Center of the Russian State University for the Humanities. It will be accompanied by lectures and workshops held for students and graduate students.

The exhibition will be opened until November 29th.
